Welsh
three piece thrash metal band HOSTILE are about to tour the UK with fellow
thrashers Warpath. We interview Dan from the band and heres what he had to
say.
LH: Hello guys. How's it going?
Dan: Hey, it's going good thanks.
LH:
What is happening for the band at the moment?
Dan:
At the moment we are booking our UK tour with Local band Warpath, for August
to November this year, also were recording a 10 track CD starting next week!!
LH: Were any of you in other bands before you formed Hostile? Had you been
playing for very long before you formed?
Dan: Dan and Tim started a band called Omeega; with other friends from school.
We were around for just over a year and played over 30 gigs in that band,
we then booted out 2 members and replaced them with Arran and Paul and did
about 3 gigs, which didn;t last long, and is what started Hostile.
LH: Who are your influences?
Dan: Our main influences are: Pantera, Megadeth, Exodus, Metallica, Testament,
Death, Slayer, Judas Preist. Theres a lot more but these are just some of
the main ones.
LH: Is there much of a metal scene where you live?
Dan: Hahahahahahaha no, the Metal scene in Swansea is almost non-existent,
especially the live music scene, its pretty much dead!
LH: What do you think to the metal scene at the moment?
Dan: Well the general metal scene is pretty good, not as good as it used to
be though.
LH: What gigs do you have coming up?
Dan: Well were playing in Cheltenham Tomorrow, and have a few gigs around
England, and were booking our 3 month tour atm so there will be a lot confirmed
soon, our gig list will be @ www.myspace.com/hostileonline
LH: Which other bands around at the moment, particularly unsigned bands,
are you fans of?
Dan: I think for unsigned bands, were all fans of quite a few, there's Warpath,
Evile, Headless Cross, Deadfall, and a few others, were always excited to
hear unsigned UK bands.
LH: What are your plans for the future?
Dan: Play lots of gigs, Drink Lots of beer, Enjoy our tour, hopefully get
some recognition and just keep making music and playing it live.
LH: Thanks for taking the time to do this interview. Any final words you'd
like to end on?
Dan: Thanks for interviewing us and giving us your time...METAAAAAAAAAAAL!!
