Forever In Terror have traveled a long way since their formation in 2003. They've gone through a number of name and lineup changes, played all sorts of gigs from local shows to supporting all the big names under the NWOAHM belt to undertaking lengthy tours. They’ve gone from releasing a demo in 2005 to making a full length and signing with world renowned metal label Metal Blade Records. Not bad for a young band but as they say, “we want to be judged on the music not the age”.

AP: So first up, for those those are not aware of Forever In Terror, can you tell us a bit about the band?

CB: Hey there this is Chris Bianchi the singer of FIT. Well we are a 5 piece heavy metal band from a small town in Ohio..

AP: Just last month you released Restless In The Tides, was the final product what you expected? and from what you have seen has it been accepted?

CB: The final product to most is amazing. To us its less then perfect, this is mostly because they say “Your always your worst critic” I guess. Just lots of things we wish we could have added to and changed a bit.

AP: I reviewed Restless in the Tides a while ago and one thing that caught my Attention was the artwork, was this the bands idea or was there an influence From someone maybe? And also how important do you think artwork is?

CB: The artwork was drawn by an amazing artist named Derek Hess. He has the idea and just send us some sketch drawings. We agreed that it would be an amazing painting and he continued on with it. It came out brilliant! Yes, Art is very important in certain aspects. It all just depends on how you look at it in this world.

AP: Its clear that the band are influenced by the NWOAHM acts such as Machine Head, Unearth, Trivium, God Forbid, All That Remains, Chimaira, am I correct? and as well as that would there be any other bands, artists, anything really that influenced the band outside of that genre of bands?

CB: We hate to just compare us to the most well known bands in Metal at the time. It feels as if everyone sounds like this and that and are catagorized into a box.If you have a breakdown “you sound like unearth” if you have this..you sound like this.. We don’t ever just say “hey we should sound like these bands” We just play what we like and feel. Try to make heavy ass music to KEEP METAL ALIVE! All this new core bullshit is happening all around us and it makes me sick. Half of these kids don’t know the meaning of real music anymore.

I am influenced by TONS of bands and music. Through the eyes of the dead, the black dahlia murder, into the moat, chimaira, august burns red, circa survive, glassjaw ,at the drive-in, saosin.

AP: If I was to go see Forever In Terror live, what could I expect to see?

CB: We take pride in trying to rock every mother fucker in the place we are playing. We come on with a powerful presence and kick your ass for the whole 30 min. ride we call our set! Hahaha.

AP: I believe the band was originally called 7th Plague? I've also heard the name Theorem was used before that, why the name changes?

CB: Lots of this and that..This shitty band from CA has copywrited to 7th Plague and refused to sell the name when we signed. We then changed it..Yeah Theorem was WAYYY BACK in the day.Like 8th grade.ha.

AP: In 2006 the band signed to Metal Blade Records, how did that come about? I'm sure everyone was elated, how has it been and I'm curious as to whether there was any other offers on the table?

CB: Well we had been playing for a good while and had opened up for MANY big national acts.We were approached by our now manager Neil Sheehan of HM Management. He helped us record a demo and shop it to labels.. There was intrest from Century Media-They offered to sign us once we turned 18. From Roadrunner Records who claimed “we were TOO heavy for them” and a few others..But Metal Blade put an amazing offer on the table. We signed all at the age of 16 and 17 years old.

AP: I was browsing the internet and I couldn't seem to find a website apart from your myspace address. Is this enough for a band you think? The vast majority of bands now have myspace addresses young and old but newer ones seem to ditch the .com idea what is your views on this?

CB: I say why not ditch it..Theres no use paying and taking the time to design something that will sit with hardly any visitors. Anything you need is now on Myspace which is sad but true. You can do so much all on one page. Its pure genius!

AP: Finally whats the goal for Forever In Terror, were would you like to be in say ten years, were can you see yourself in ten years?

CB: Well we are ready and have been working VERY HARD to get out to the world..We sometime want to try to land bigger tours. Also to come do a tour oversee’s ASAP! Be sure to come see us live. You wont be sorry!

AP: Thank-you for your time, is there any last words?

Cb: Thanks so much for this interview. We hope you will check out our MySpace and purchase our debut album “Restless in the Tides” out now on METAL BLADE RECORDS!
