Anyone remember Gothic Slam? Sigh. Well if you do, I guess David Sanchez sounds a little like Daniel Gomes of GS, and they are about as hyper. Pete Webber's drumming is sharp and crisp and nonstop from the opening bar of "Prepare for Attack" 'til the end of "Time Is Up". David Sanchez's Lead Vocals a classic example of 80's American thrash vocal, fast and slightly higher pitched than German thrash. Reece Scruggs plays some ultra fast lead guitar licks on "No Amnesty" and as an opening for "D.O.A." a rather poignant track about driving whilst intoxicated, or was it just too fast? Sanchez and Scruggs's guitar rhythms are choppy and fast changing, with solid riffs to keep things interesting. Jesse De Los Santos's Lead Bass is clearly audible on "Killing Tendencies", but I must say the intonation on the chorus vocals is a little strange and gives it a weird feel. I really like the title "Scumbag in Disguise" and I'd be rather surprised if the song's not about politicians, and geez does it have an 80's hair metal solo in it. The solo on "The Cleric" however is slow and deliberate, unlike the steadily increasing drum beat with its weird timing signatures. You can actually hear the energy on "Out of My Way" and I get the feeling these guys more than likely transfer that energy really well to the live environment. They end the album with the title track and they play it at a tremendous pace until "Time Is Up".
