Artist: Revolting Cocks
Title: Got Cock?
Type: Album
Label: 13th Planet Records

It was only last October when I felt myself coming over all queer and reviewing the last RevCo remix album ‘Sex-O MiXXX-O’ and the disc that this took its mixes from was only a few months prior to that. I could say the band’s albums are like buses but there is something quite wrong about a red blooded heterosexual saying about waiting ages for cocks and then a whole load of them turn up at once? Get’s coat and comes back later attempting to start review again. Yes those cocky, smutty boys are back, with a whole lot of lead in their pencils and are not going off half cocked about anything at all. Ahem!

Well there is no way of reviewing an album like this sensibly, after all this is the band who although starting off seriously (despite album title) with their EBM influencer ‘Big Sexy Land’ went downhill all the way with their ever revolving line up since it came out in 1986. I call the dividing line 1993s’ excellent ‘Linger Ficken Good’ which saw the group taking a 13 year break before coming back ‘Cocked And Loaded’ with a greased up dildo up their butts and they haven’t really stopped sitting on it since. I don’t really look on them now as having much to do with Al Jourgensen although still credited and live occasionally (cum back to the UK y’all) this is all about Bradford, Quinn and Worbeck really.

‘Trojan Horse,’ actually had me doing a double take as at first Bradford sounded a bit like Chris Connelly and to be honest this track is a bit of a plodder only hinting at the filthy fun to come. Still it does have a fairly hard hitting glammy chorus and flailing guitar lead going on so it doesn’t fall completely flat on face with pants round ankles. ‘Filthy Senoritas’ are (I mean) is excellent! Love the melody going through this sleaze laden song and the chorus is as catchy as crabs and will have you singing along quicker than a Mexican brothel has you itching. ‘Dykes’ is a throbbing industrial anthem with anthem like vocals telling the cautionary tale that Texas is not all about beers and steers but there are quite a few queers there too and there’s nothing wrong with it at all madam, especially if we are allowed to watch. ‘Juice’ has a silly German accent about the vocals but the pounding instrumentation sees the band at their most Ministerial and it’s a real head (not that one) banger. ‘Piss Army’ is all about joining up and it’s nothing to do with watersports, this army is the community of followers of all things cock and errr Ministry etc, hope that clears that one up for you. It’s another one with a fantastic chorus to sing along to.

It’s not all plane flying as songs like ‘Fuck Money’ and ‘Air Traffic Control’ don’t really blow me (away) but then again guess I cannot swing every way. Texas may well be a place for cowboys but the Industrial Village People want to get into some Injun action too and the lyrics of ‘Poke A Hot Ass’ are hilarious. Raiding a famous film sample for the ending we get a full metal jerkoff (see what I did there) on ‘Me So Horny’ along with its obligatory remix, ending the album in great style. This number is the club house hit of the year, well it is if you go to those sort of clubs and I’m not 100% sure just what sort of clubs they would be but…. You get my drift. What next, a remix album, ‘Got Pussy?’ Guess we are just going to have to suck it and see!
