While living in London, all band members come from different parts of the globe. This straight edge, vegan punk collective got together with the sole purpose of spreading their political messages to the world and being strong supporters of various movements, the band get their message across in the most famous genre of music for political freedom of speech and label their political beliefs as anarchism. But this is all about the music right? Well that’s hard to say when you have tracks dealing with various wrongdoings in the world. ‘The Sweatshop System’, ‘Stockwell Terror’ and ‘Palestinian Holocaust’ have some tasty lyrics, I do like the energy that this band gives to the music. What a bonus too, released on vinyl for which I am an avid collector of!
Raging crust/D-Beat is put across well on the record; the drums, the guitars, in fact everything is pretty much spot on. The production is precise and displays the raging dynamics of a band with so much intensity it’s heart warming, but there is enough raw power to make it an authentic crust/D-beat release. Usually bands end up with crappy shoebox recorded records but this is well produced and packaged very well too. The band quite rightly denounce the current punk bands that don’t have any messages, but it also gives them a big middle finger cause this music is full force. No pop-punk crap; it is dirty, yet well recorded. The music itself is nothing out of the box, it’s just good to listen too.
You can get this record from the bands MySpace site, it’s a mere £3, 9 tracks of skull crushing energy and anarchism.
