Title: All That’s Behind
Type: Album
Label: My Kingdom Music

These modern Italian thrashers begin their album with a crunchy predictable styled riff that gathers pace ready for the inevitable surge in speed of “The Slow Drowning Of Morality”. The use of melody gives the track plenty of crispness yet the gang shouted vocals wore a little thin quite quickly, despite the Bay Area shenanigans employed. At times the band ventures into semi-blast territory on the title track but the clean vocals turned off my attention almost instantly.

Clean vocals aside the songs do pack a punch as the Evile tinged beginning to “Preachers Of Warfare” clearly demonstrates. A no nonsense heads down approach is taken as the band add the odd Overkill riff to the pot. The bands attempt to recreate classic thrash moments has not fallen on these deafened ears as the band attempts a modernised Susperia angle on “Slaughterhouse Of Parliament”, though the chug moments came across as overly generic and devoid of passion. The sprinkling of mini-bass bombs on “Memento Mori” was slightly surprising but again the clean vocalising just spoils the song for me.

The far heavier “No Reason To Fight For” has plenty of solid double bass kick giving the track power and urgency as the album ends with the lengthy “The Art Of Oppression” with its good sense of dynamics and structuring as the track lunges from one pace change to another with ease. A decent enough thrash album from a band that needs to purge the irritating clean vocals and maybe up the aggression a tad.
