A nice simple "Intro" ushers us in to the manic throws of "Enough" where Alex Koch's kick drums blast out precise but fast tattoos for Gooch to play frenzied leads over. Jack's VoKills are low fast paced growls barked out at a rate of knots. Gooch and Drew's guitar rhythms accompany and complement each other and allow for plenty of room for the leads to progress and then flow back into the rhythms. "Bottom Feeder" has a steadier beat to it, 'til the vokills start, then the drumming increases its pace to match their speed, but then breaks down again as soon as the growls cease. The almost title track, "End Of Compromise" has an ear bleeding lead which keeps rising octaves above what humans should be able to hear, but never loses its harmonious appeal. A pseudo acoustic intro for "Closed Book... Open Wrist" sets the tone nicely for Jack's spoken vokills which morph into heartfelt growls about suicide.
"Talk So Much... Say Nothing" has a very 90's feel to the choppy guitar riffing and an almost bounciness to the song as a side-effect. "Filth In Numbers" however is the complete opposite end of the spectrum with its in your face drum pounding and no-nonsense riff. "Good Things Come To Those Who Hate" has some seriously low end growls to go with George's bass, while "The Fall" has plenty of false harmonics that litter the rhythm with squeals during it's bouncier rhythms. The final track on this CD is "The Zone" which is really old school, ending with clinking of glasses under the immense guitar lead over the slightly less downtuned guitar sound. A solid death metal album, which isn't breaking into any new territory, but does its job really well.
